1) The Tragic Beginning

Tanjiro lives peacefully with his family in the mountains. He goes down to sell charcoal, and upon returning, he finds his family murdered by demons. His sister, Nezuko, is the only survivor, but she has been transformed into a demon. Despite her demonic nature, Nezuko continues to try to protect her brother, and this moment plants a seed of hope in Tanjiro's heart that she might one day become human again.

2) Meeting Giyo and Training

Tanjiro meets Giyo Tomioka (a demon slayer from the Hashira clan) who intended to kill Nezuko, but is surprised by her humane behavior and decides to give Tanjiro a chance. He sends him to the master Urokonadaki for training.

Tanjiro undergoes rigorous training in the mountains: endurance, speed, and concentration. He learns the basics of "Water Breathing" and how to sever a demon's head with a sword. After a long period of hardship, he passes the entrance exam.

3) The Final Exam

Tanjiro enters the “Final Exam” in an area teeming with demons. There, he confronts a colossal demon harboring an old grudge against his teacher. Tanjiro uses his newfound skills and defeats him. He passes the exam, receives a special sword, and is officially declared a Demon Slayer.

4) First Missions and Encounters

Confronting a Demon in the City: Tanjiro encounters a demon who uses illusions and tries to deceive people. Tanjiro learns to read the scent of danger and discovers the demon's weaknesses.

Confronting the Drum Demon: Inside a strange house, the demon's form changes with the beating of drums. Here, he meets Zenitsu (the coward whose power is unleashed when he faints from fear) and Inosuke (the mad fighter with the boar mask). The trio defeats the demon after a tense battle.

5) Meeting Muzan and the Beginning of the Great Conflict

Tanjiro unexpectedly encounters Muzan Kibutsuji, the leader of the demons, in the city center. Muzan appears with a normal human face, uses people as human shields, and escapes. Tanjiro tries to pursue him but fails. This moment illustrates how dangerous and intelligent the main enemy is.

6) Facing Tamari and Arrows (Susumaru and Yahya)

The battle is very difficult, and Tamayo and Yuichiro (demons trying to help humans) intervene to assist. In the end, they are defeated through intelligence and cooperation, and Tanjiro learns the idea that there are demons who might be against Muzan.

7) Mount Natagomo – The Most Violent Arc of the Season

This is the most difficult stage of the first season:

The team goes to a mountain inhabited by a “spider family” of demons.

They face demons that make humans move by strings like puppets.

Inosuke is seriously injured, and Zenitsu faces a poisonous spider demon, giving his all to save himself. Tanjiro faces a powerful demon wielding deadly strings, alongside Nezuko, who has developed her abilities and is using her blood power effectively for the first time.

The Hashira intervene forcefully: Gyou defeats one of the strongest demons with incredible speed, and Shinobu cleverly defeats a demon using poison.

8) The Confrontation with Rui (The Powerful Demon) Tanjiro faces Rui, one of the strongest demons of the mountain (connected to Muzan). The battle is emotional and brutal, with Tanjiro giving his all to save his sister. At the end of the confrontation, Rui is defeated, and we learn his tragic backstory and his connection to a fabricated family he created.

9) After the Battle: Nezuko's Judgment

Following the events on the mountain, the Hashira gather to judge Nezuko for being a demon. Tensions are high, and some want to kill her immediately, but her humane actions and Tanjiro's determination make some reconsider. In the end, Nezuko is allowed to live under surveillance, and a new journey begins to strengthen Tanjiro in preparation for tougher battles.
